Apple is set to enhance the purchasing experience for customers buying the new iPhone Duo by allowing personalization options directly at retail locations. This feature enables buyers to have their names displayed on the device’s “Hello” screen the first time it powers on.

Personalization Features Revealed
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple retail outlets in the United States will implement a system that allows the buyer’s name to be integrated into the iPhone Duo’s startup greeting. Support will be available in both English and Spanish.
Fun little touch for the iPhone Duo launch: Apple retail stores will have a system to customize the boot of the device with the buyer’s name so it says “Hello, Mark” (for example) when it turns on for the first time. (US only, Duo only, English and Spanish).
