Tragic Double Homicide at Great Wolf Lodge in Pocono Mountains
The Pocono Township Police Department has reported a shocking double homicide that occurred on Monday night within the Great Wolf Lodge resort, located in the picturesque Pocono Mountains.
Incident Overview
Authorities have identified the suspect as 27-year-old Metallica Harrison, a resident of Towanda. She is accused of the murder of her 3-year-old son and her husband, Charles Harrison.
Details of the Crime
According to court documents acquired by WGAL, Charles Harrison was found with multiple stab wounds, while his young son sustained a single stab wound to the chest. Following the incident, Metallica Harrison was taken to a hospital due to self-inflicted injuries. During a call to emergency dispatchers, she allegedly expressed a desire to die in order to join her husband and son.
Charges and Investigation
Metallica is now facing two counts of criminal homicide. Local law enforcement described the event as an “isolated domestic tragedy,” assuring the public that there is no ongoing threat to the community.
Monroe County District Attorney Mike Mancuso stated, “There’s a lot more testing. There are post-mortem examinations yet to be conducted. There’s a review of various items of evidence. All of that will be unfolding over the course of the next several months, so this is only the first stage in a long process.”

In response to the tragedy, Great Wolf Resorts released a statement through Jason Lasecki, the vice president of corporate communications, clarifying that the incident was an isolated family matter. “We are deeply saddened and heartbroken by a tragic domestic incident that occurred yesterday in a guest room at our resort in the Pocono Mountains.
