Rickie Fowler prepares to play his shot.
Rickie Fowler’s Baycurrent Classic Performance and New Partnership
Yokohama Country Club hosted the Baycurrent Classic, where Rickie Fowler’s performance fell short of expectations. The six-time PGA Tour champion finished in 71st place out of 72 competitors, recording a 9-over par 293, a stark contrast to his strong showing in 2022 when he finished second at the same event, previously known as the Zozo Championship.
Recent Performance Struggles
Following a competitive regular season in which he secured a spot in the Top 30 of the FedEx rankings, Fowler faced challenges during the PGA Tour playoffs, missing the Tour Championship once again.
Despite these struggles, there was noteworthy news concerning Fowler’s career.
New Partnership with Rolus

During the Baycurrent Classic, Fowler sported a new partnership with Rolus, a hydration company known for its sparkling hydration drinks featuring 345 milligrams of electrolytes per can, with no sugar or caffeine. This collaboration adds to Fowler’s growing list of beverage partnerships, which includes a role as a Yeti ambassador since July 2025, and a recent partnership with Tropicana launched in May.
Upcoming Surgery Timeline Uncertain
Following the conclusion of the season, Fowler indicated plans for sinus surgery, as reported by Doug Bell prior to the Rocket Classic. The golfer has been grappling with a persistent sinus infection for over two years, which has not responded to treatments. While the exact procedure details remain undisclosed, functional endoscopic sinus surgery is frequently recommended for severe sinus issues.
As of now, it is unclear if Fowler has undergone the surgery. If completed post-BMW Championship, this would align with recovery protocols, but Fowler has not provided any updates on this front.
