Trump Endorses Republican Candidates, Critiques Democrats in Key Races
Michigan Congressional Race
Former President Donald Trump took to Truth Social on Saturday, launching a series of critiques aimed at Democratic candidates in critical congressional races across the nation. He specifically targeted Mohammad Abdul El-Sayed, a Democratic contender in Michigan’s congressional race.
Trump stated, “The great state of Michigan, which I won decisively in the last election, is looking seriously, I guess, at a man named Mohammad Abdul El-Sayed, who is absolutely Muslim Brotherhood.” He emphasized his belief that El-Sayed does not align with the traditional values of Michigan or the broader United States.
In support of El-Sayed’s opponent, former congressman Mike Rogers, Trump declared that Rogers has “my complete and total endorsement,” urging voters to reject El-Sayed’s candidacy. He labeled El-Sayed as “a disaster” who “hates our country.”
Texas Senate Race
Trump did not hold back his criticism of the Democratic candidate for Senate in Texas, state representative James Talarico. On his Truth Social platform, he referred to Talarico as “James TalaFREAKO,” asserting that he embodies “Radical Left Lunatic” ideals that contradict the values of Texas.
Trump remarked, “It’s an embarrassment to one of the great states, maybe our greatest state, it’s an embarrassment to have a guy like that representing you in Washington, D.C.” He further ridiculed Talarico’s dietary choices, stating, “He never had meat in his life, now he’s trying to stuff meat down his throat and it’s not working,” implying Talarico would struggle with an omnivorous diet.
Trump also hinted at a health-related issue involving Talarico, stating he “disappeared for 12 days with perhaps the longest flu ever recorded,” suggesting undisclosed personal struggles.
Republican Endorsements
Alongside his criticisms, Trump endorsed Texas Attorney General, calling him “one of the very very best attorney generals in our country,” in reference to Talarico’s Republican challenger. In addition to these endorsements, Trump supported Senator Darlene Graham of South Carolina, who is running to maintain her Senate seat appointed after the late Lindsey Graham.
Moreover, Trump expressed his backing for Republican candidates in neighboring states, including Rep. Zach Nunn of Iowa and Rep. Russell Fry of South Carolina, reinforcing his commitment to Republican leadership across various key elections.
