Apply for the Resilience Fund Grants 2026: Empowering Women and Non-Binary Communities

The Resilience Fund is now accepting applications for its 2026 funding initiative, aimed at women- and non-binary-led community organizations in Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, and Vietnam. This program focuses on enhancing women’s health, safety, and economic stability while addressing climate adaptation within communities and improving standards in global value chains.

Funding Details

  • Grant Amount: US$15,000 to US$50,000
  • Funding Duration: Two years
  • Eligible Countries: Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, and Vietnam
  • Target Applicants: Women- and non-binary-led community organizations
  • Focus Areas: Women’s health, safety, economic resilience, community-led climate adaptation, and global value chains
  • Application Deadline: 25 October 2026, at 11:59 PM CET

Core Areas of Support

The Resilience Fund emphasizes organizations that operate at the crossroads of women’s well-being, economic security, and climate resilience. The program acknowledges that climate change exacerbates existing inequalities and creates additional hardships for women involved in global value chains.

1. Women’s Health and Safety

Funding will support initiatives that directly improve the health and safety of women, ensuring that organizations articulate how their programs respond to the unique challenges faced by women in the communities they serve.

2. Economic Resilience

Organizations that foster women’s economic security and resilience are encouraged to apply. Applicants should demonstrate their connection to global value chains and how their initiatives support local communities.

3. Community-Led Climate Adaptation

The fund seeks to back community-driven solutions to climate risks, urging organizations to connect climate adaptation with women’s health and economic resilience instead of addressing these issues separately.

Eligibility Criteria

The Resilience Fund is specifically designed for community-based organizations led by women and non-binary individuals operating in Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, and Vietnam. It is crucial for applicants to review the eligibility requirements thoroughly before applying. Successful proposals will clearly overlap the fund’s priority areas and demonstrate a connection to global economic chains.

Applicants at varying stages of their climate adaptation projects, past grantees, and organizations working under foreign funding should consult the official FAQ for detailed guidance on their eligibility.

Grant Amount and Use of Funds

Grantees may receive between US$15,000 and US$50,000 over a two-year period. This flexible funding allows grantees to allocate resources in alignment with their organizational needs while responding to the guidelines laid out by the fund. It is important that applicants carefully review what is permissible regarding funding use prior to submission.

Application Process

The application consists of a two-phased process:

Phase 1: Initial Application

Organizations begin by submitting an initial application through the official online portal. This submission will be assessed against eligibility criteria, and only applications submitted through this channel will be accepted. To prepare, applicants are encouraged to download and familiarize themselves with the application form available in multiple languages, including English and several regional languages.

Phase 2: Detailed Application

Organizations progressing past Phase 1 will receive invitations to provide more detailed applications, offering additional insights into their operations and project scope. Ascension to Phase 1 does not guarantee funding; applicants must adhere to subsequent instructions for continued evaluation.

Application Support Resources

The Resilience Fund offers various resources to aid applicants in completing their submissions:

  • Application Form: Accessible in English along with several regional languages from the official website.
  • Informational Webinar: A recording can be found on the application page.
  • FAQs: Multilingual guidance is available to address common inquiries.
  • Direct Support: Email assistance is provided for specific language inquiries and a WhatsApp support line is available.

Important Dates

Applications must be submitted by 25 October 2026, at 11:59 PM CET. It is advisable for applicants to allow ample time for any potential technical difficulties prior to the submission deadline.

Official Application Portal

To access the application form, eligibility criteria, and FAQs, visit the official Resilience Fund website.

Why Apply?

This funding initiative presents a significant opportunity for community-based organizations committed to empowering women and addressing climate challenges. The flexible funding model and collaborative learning opportunities can be particularly beneficial for organizations working in areas significantly impacted by climate change.

Organizations should carefully evaluate their eligibility, highlight the interconnections of their proposed work with the fund’s focus areas, and prepare their submissions in advance to increase their chances of success.
