Nicki Minaj and Donald Trump Unite at Michigan Rally

On October 25, 2026, rapper Nicki Minaj joined former President Donald Trump aboard Air Force One, as they flew to Port Huron, Michigan. The duo aimed to bolster support for Republican candidates seeking to maintain their foothold in the midterm elections amidst predictions of a Democratic surge.

Star Power for Republican Candidates

Minaj’s appearance came in support of former U.S. Congressman Mike Rogers, running to regain his Senate seat, and John James, who is vying for the governorship against Democratic Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson. Together, they lent their star personas to attract voters in a pivotal election cycle.

Trump’s Remarks on Minaj

During the rally, Trump made various comments that not only highlighted his relationship with Minaj but also sparked discussion about past remarks he’s made. He addressed ongoing media perceptions of his comments regarding Ohio Senator Jon Husted, emphasizing that they were intended as light-hearted and tied to the senator’s athletic past.

“I’ve never done that with a man before. Off the record, women? Yes. Men? No,” he said, referring to a moment when he complimented Minaj.

Trump complimented Minaj, stating, “By the way, I looked at one hell of a beautiful a– before: Nicki Minaj.” He encouraged the crowd to acknowledge her presence, saying, “Stand up! That’s hard to miss.”

Minaj’s Address and Political Alignment

Following Trump’s introduction, Minaj delivered a brief speech where she rallied support for the Republican agenda. She led the audience in chanting, “We love Trump,” and voiced her commitment to supporting him in future elections:

“President Trump, it is an honor to stand with you every single time, and I will continue to support you forever and ever. If you run again, I will support you again.”

Minaj discussed her perspective on social issues, particularly expressing concerns about gender-affirming care for transgender children, advocating for a societal environment that protects youth from what she described as undue pressure regarding their identities.

“We want our children to grow up in a place where we can be proud of. We don’t want our children to be bombarded with sex changes.”

Ongoing Relationship Between Minaj and Trump

Minaj, who had previously criticized Trump’s immigration policies, has notably shifted her alignment towards him and the Republican Party during his second term. Her involvement with Trump has included several high-profile events, demonstrating her evolving political stance.

Conclusion

The rally in Port Huron not only reinforced Trump’s ongoing campaign efforts but also marked a significant convergence of political and cultural spheres, with Minaj’s celebrity status playing a pivotal role in energizing Republican supporters ahead of the midterms.
