Young Money APAA Sports Welcomes Bryan Miller as New NIL Division President
Young Money APAA Sports has announced the appointment of Bryan Miller as the new president of its Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) division. Miller, who previously served as the director of NIL at The Familie, will be stationed in Boise, Idaho, and will report directly to CEO Adie Von Gontard. This transition was managed internally by Young Money, which was established in 2016 by the renowned rapper Lil Wayne.
A Growing Agency
Currently, Young Money represents over 100 clients across various professional sports, including the NFL, NBA, and soccer, in addition to a roster of NIL athletes. The agency is actively involved in college football and basketball, with approximately 35 athletes under its NIL banner. Notable clients include:
- Anthony Colandrea, Nebraska QB
- Darian Mensah, Miami QB
- Shedeur Sanders, Cleveland Browns QB
At present, Young Money employs a team of around 20 people, which includes 10 dedicated agents.
Bryan Miller’s Vision for NIL
Miller, who has a background as a wide receiver in the Arena Football League with teams like the Massachusetts Pirates, Cedar Rapids River Kings, and Tucson Sugar Skulls, emphasized the appeal of Young Money’s ambitious direction in the NIL arena. He stated, “The trajectory they’re on, their vision, how they’re really wanting to be as competitive as it gets in the NIL space—it just felt like a no-brainer.”
Future Aspirations
In his new role, Miller plans to recruit additional athletes and negotiate potential university compensations along with marketing opportunities from external sources. He anticipates that several of his established clients from The Familie will transition to Young Money, pending formal agreements—a move he expects to enhance the agency’s competitive standing in the industry.
Strategic Focus
Under Miller’s leadership, Young Money aims to navigate the complexities of the evolving landscape of college sports. CEO Adie Von Gontard highlighted the agency’s commitment to identifying talented athletes capable of excelling at the highest levels, noting that success in the NIL sector extends beyond financial gains. “I think the biggest thing on the NIL side is to continue to identify talent that can play at the highest level and really being a huge part of their success in navigating this ever-changing landscape of college sports in general. It’s a lot more than just maximizing the financial component of that,” said Von Gontard.
With this strategic leadership change, Young Money APAA Sports is poised to deepen its impact on the NIL market, positioning itself as a formidable player in athlete representation.
