Apple Music 7.0 Update: Features and Design Overhaul for Android
Apple Music has launched its much-anticipated version 7.0 for Android devices, following an extensive beta testing phase. This latest update features a stunning Liquid Glass design paired with a fresh icon, enhancing the overall user experience.
New Iconography and User Interface
With the update, Apple Music introduces a modified music note icon, which appears in either black or white, depending on the device theme. This replaces the previous red background with a sleek, modern look. Users will now find a blue accent color throughout the app, adding cohesion to the interface.

Enhanced Navigation Features
The update has transformed the app’s navigation with a floating bottom bar that allows for a clearer view of the content above, below, and on the sides. This design incorporates translucency, giving users a glimpse of colors beneath the navigation element. The mini-player is now designed to float separately, providing a more flexible user experience, although it does not collapse when scrolling as it does on iOS.
Modernized Design Elements
The redesign extends to the system status and navigation bars, now presenting an edge-to-edge appearance that meshes with Android’s aesthetic. Enhancements have been made to the top bars within the app, where the page title and the overflow menu are now aligned neatly on one line. Additionally, the three-dot menu icons have transitioned from their previous red theme to a more refined circular design.
Library and Artist Page Updates
The Library tab introduces significant updates, encapsulating functions such as “Edit Pins” and “Edit Categories” within the three-dot menu. Artist pages have been revamped as well, featuring backgrounds that reflect the album covers. Consistent with the iOS version, artist pages now include a highlighted play button and an information section at the top right for easy access.
