Apple Unveils Updated Power Adapter and World Travel Adapter Kit

Apple has officially introduced updated versions of its popular power adapters and the World Travel Adapter Kit, showcasing the new “AC Connector 2” design. These updated accessories are now available for purchase through the company’s online store in the United States and several other countries.

Updated Power Adapters

The newly released power adapters include:

• 70W Power Adapter
• 140W Power Adapter
• Power Adapter Extension Cable

Each of these products now features the redesigned AC Connector 2, which is an essential upgrade aimed at meeting recent regulation changes.

World Travel Adapter Kit

In addition to the power adapters, Apple has reintroduced its World Travel Adapter Kit, which had been removed from the online retail platform in 2025. Priced at $39, the kit now includes five interchangeable AC plugs designed for compatibility with various international electrical standards:

The kit consists of:

• Type A: North America, Japan
• Type C: Continental Europe, Brazil
• Type D: India
• Type G: United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Singapore
• Type I: Australia, New Zealand

Design Improvements

The upgraded AC Connector 2 features a pill-shaped design that addresses the compatibility issues noted by customers earlier this year, allowing them to successfully use the latest adapters with existing extension cables and travel kits. The previous AC Connector 1 had a notched design, which led to some functionality concerns.

Availability

The updated power adapters and the World Travel Adapter Kit can be purchased through Apple’s online store, ensuring users have access to the latest technology for their macOS and iOS devices.
