In a recent Twitter post, White House Communications Director Steven Cheung shared a video of Minaj praising President Donald Trump’s foreign policies while on Air Force One. This prompted him to declare, “Ladies and gentlemen, I think we may have found the new White House Press Secretary!”
The White House’s official account responded with an “eyeballs” emoji, creating further buzz around the suggestion. Additionally, Trump advisor Alex Bruesewitz chimed in, asking, “Hey Barbz, what do we think about this idea??”
Minaj herself responded to the buzz by posting an American flag alongside emojis that convey nervous laughter, indicating her awareness and amusement regarding the unexpected nomination.
While it remains unclear if there is any serious consideration for her appointment, the entertainment world has often seen unexpected candidates rise to prominent positions. As of now, her focus seems to be more aligned with her recent experience on Air Force One rather than a political career.
