Polygon Labs Integrates TRON with Open Money Stack for Enhanced Payment Solutions
Polygon Labs has expanded its Open Money Stack platform by integrating support for the TRON network, a move that aims to enhance stablecoin payment processing and facilitate cross-border transactions for various businesses.
Streamlined Digital-Dollar Services
This integration specifically targets companies interested in utilizing TRON for digital-dollar services without the need to first integrate with multiple banking and wallet solutions. Polygon co-founder Sandeep Nailwal explained this strategic enhancement to CoinDesk, stating, “By connecting TRON to Open Money Stack, we’re giving businesses a way to offer that service through one integration.”
Benefits for Fintechs and Payment Firms
The newly added capabilities are tailored for remittance firms, fintech companies, and payment service providers. The process allows customers to fund a payment via bank transfer, debit card, or cash. They can then receive USDT, a stablecoin pegged to the US dollar, within a TRON wallet and subsequently withdraw to their bank accounts.
Importantly, this integration does not position TRON as a bank nor does it alleviate the regulatory licensing expectations that payment firms must comply with. Instead, it streamlines the payment workflow by unifying previously fragmented connections across different service providers.
Enhanced Transfer Capabilities
Through this integration, businesses now have the ability to transfer USDT—recognized as the world’s largest stablecoin—between TRON and supported EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine) networks. This functionality eliminates the necessity for separate connections to a wallet provider, bridge, and fiat-ramp operator, thus facilitating a more efficient transaction process.
