Signs of Reversal for Ripple’s XRP Amid Price Decline
Recent market analysis suggests that buyers are positioning themselves for a potential reversal in the pricing trend of Ripple’s native digital asset, XRP. The token has notably dropped to around $1.15, a level not experienced in several months. Despite this decline, several market indicators are beginning to reflect a positive shift.
Increased Whale Accumulation
According to noted analyst Ali Martinez, the rise in whale activities is one of the most compelling bullish indicators currently observed. Following a price rejection at $1.34 earlier this month, whales have re-entered the XRP market, accumulating nearly 16.5 million tokens during this downturn. This accumulation marks a significant divergence between the declining prices and the increasing exposure of large wallet holders.
Market Sentiment and Trading Activity
Contributing to this analysis, fellow commentator BankXRP has highlighted another encouraging sign on the Binance trading platform. The 14-day moving average for the Taker Buy/Sell Ratio of XRP is trending upward toward 1.0, despite the ongoing price drop. This ratio indicates the level of aggressive buying compared to selling, suggesting that buying pressure is starting to recover even while spot prices remain weak.
BankXRP also expressed that the current atmosphere of fear within the XRP community is at an unprecedented low, mirroring sentiments not seen since July. Martinez has previously suggested that such bearish sentiment might represent a contrarian opportunity, potentially signaling a coming uptick in market activity.
Predictions for Future Movements
CrediBULL Crypto anticipates that XRP’s next significant movement could be an upward rally exceeding 40%. However, he cautions that navigating the lower-timeframe price fluctuations has proven challenging.
Conversely, analyst Celal Kucuker remains cautious, suggesting that XRP might still retest the $1.05 to $1.10 region before any potential rebound occurs. Kucuker predicts that upon breaking the descending trendline, XRP could launch into an aggressive upwards trend, with potential targets reaching as high as $4.15, reminiscent of major rallies expected in 2024-2025.
Critical Support Levels
Dark Defender emphasizes that $1.12 is a crucial support level for XRP, as it previously acted as resistance during the declines seen in July and August. Despite breaching this level multiple times in August, XRP has managed to recover above it. Dark Defender believes this former resistance will now serve as a pivotal support zone.
He concludes that the broader Elliott Wave structure for XRP remains intact as long as the asset holds this region. The current price weakness could represent the concluding phases of Wave 2, rather than the onset of a more extensive downward trend. Looking ahead, he anticipates an eventual expansion into Wave 3 with targets set significantly above current prices, though some of these projections may seem overly ambitious at this time.
