Coaching Insights

Bengals’ head coach Zac Taylor emphasized the importance of exploiting key players in high-stakes moments. “Yeah, don’t overthink it. Just keep throwing the ball and let those guys get some chunk plays,” Taylor remarked, referring to the strategic deployment of Higgins and fellow receiver Ja’Marr Chase during their recent game. He noted that many of Higgins’ contributions stemmed from short throws that developed into substantial gains.

Player Reflections

Higgins expressed pride in the team’s perseverance and performance, highlighting a culture of tenacity within the squad. “That just shows you what we’ve been preaching all season, all (training) camp. Never quit, always fight to the end, no matter what the outcome may be,” he stated. His sentiment underscores the mindset the team has cultivated throughout the season, attributing their recent success to the ability to execute under pressure.

Looking Ahead

As the season progresses, Higgins continues to demonstrate the value of his contract extension, proving essential to the Bengals’ offensive strategies. The team anticipates further outstanding performances as they prepare for their upcoming matchup against the Atlanta Falcons in Spain.
