Canelo Alvarez Returns to the Ring Against Christian Mbilli
This Saturday, boxing enthusiasts can tune in to Uncrowned for live updates, round-by-round results, and highlights from the highly anticipated match between Saul “Canelo” Alvarez and reigning WBC super middleweight champion Christian Mbilli. The event is set to take place at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with the main card commencing at 1 p.m. ET on DAZN pay-per-view.
Event Details and Fight Card
The fight showcases the return of Canelo Alvarez, a former undisputed champion with a professional record of 63 wins, 3 losses, and 2 draws, including 39 knockouts. Alvarez obtained his second undisputed super middleweight title after defeating William Scull through a unanimous decision in May 2025. However, he lost these titles to Terence Crawford during a major Netflix event in September 2025. Now, he aims to reclaim a world title more than a year since his last bout.
On the other side, Christian Mbilli boasts an undefeated record of 29 wins, 0 losses, and 1 draw, with 24 of those victories coming by way of knockout. Following Terence Crawford’s title strip due to a dispute over sanctioning fees, Mbilli assumed the WBC championship title. He faced a challenging split draw against Lester Martinez on the same Crawford card in September 2025, making this defense against Alvarez a critical test of his capabilities.
