FBI Executes Search Warrant at Stephen Cloobeck’s Beverly Hills Mansion
On Tuesday morning, federal agents executed a search warrant at a luxury mansion in Beverly Hills associated with billionaire businessman Stephen Cloobeck. While the specific details of the investigation remain undisclosed, an FBI spokesperson confirmed the execution of the search warrant, which is currently sealed.
Investigation Context
According to sources from the FBI, no arrests were anticipated at the scene of the operation. Footage captured outside the North Roxbury Drive residence revealed multiple FBI agents and a substantial display of yellow caution tape surrounding the property.
This event unfolds against the backdrop of ongoing legal challenges faced by Cloobeck himself. Earlier this year, he turned himself in to authorities on allegations that he attempted to intimidate witnesses in a criminal case involving his former fiancée, Adva Lavie, who has been charged with theft.
Charges Against Cloobeck
The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office has charged Cloobeck with three felony counts related to witness intimidation, in addition to a misdemeanor for making “annoying telephone calls.” These calls were reportedly directed at individuals involved in the prosecution against Lavie, a social media influencer who goes by the name Mia Ventura.
The Case Against Adva Lavie
Lavie faces serious charges, having been indicted with eight felonies in November 2025 for allegedly defrauding several men she interacted with online. Although a judge dismissed two of those charges during a preliminary hearing, Lavie pleaded not guilty to the remaining six in April.
Broader Implications
While it is still unclear whether the recent search warrant is directly related to the ongoing investigations of Cloobeck or the case surrounding former U.S. Representative Eric Swalwell, the timing raises intriguing questions. Swalwell, who had previously received Cloobeck’s support in a gubernatorial bid, withdrew from the race following sexual misconduct allegations, which he has denied.
A significant development occurred in August when the FBI executed a search warrant at Swalwell’s Washington, D.C. home and seized his electronic devices. The agency also conducted a search at San Francisco International Airport at that time.
Continuing Developments
Recently, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s sex crimes unit has begun deliberations about whether to file charges against Swalwell. The former congressman was once considered a leading candidate for the governor’s role, and his withdrawal has shifted the political landscape ahead of the upcoming primary elections.
