Upcoming Releases from the Black Library: Throne Questoris and More

Throne Questoris: A Battle for Survival

The latest addition to Black Library’s diverse catalogue is Throne Questoris, written by Victoria Hayward. This novel plunges readers into a world of ancient war machines and valiant knights, presenting a gripping tale set against the backdrop of a planet on the brink of destruction.

Asrien Balateur, a knightly scion, stands poised to inherit a throne that is rightfully theirs. However, an ominous threat looms: strange snowstorms are intensifying, engulfing a land filled with crumbling castles and disappearing Imperial Knights. No longer are courtly disputes and palace tensions the primary concern for Asrien; an awakening madness from the planet’s shadowy history compels the future king to unite the realm against long-buried challenges.

As the narrative unfolds, the land itself transforms, and the legendary Winter Knight rides, bringing with them an epic blend of intrigue and action that breathes new life into the expansive universe of Warhammer 40,000.

Classic Reimagined: Cypher – Lord of the Fallen

Another exciting release anticipated by fans is Cypher: Lord of the Fallen, authored by John French. This classic novel returns as part of a beautifully crafted Illustrated and Annotated Edition. Readers are invited to experience the enigmatic journey of Cypher as he escapes from Holy Terra. Enhanced with a new introduction and insightful commentary by the author, this edition is further enriched with all-new illustrations that vividly depict the gripping scenes of Cypher’s flight.

Grey Knights: A Re-release of an Iconic Tale

In addition, Ben Counter’s Grey Knights is set to make a return in a lavish Special Edition. This novel provides a profound insight into the life and battles of the Grey Knights Chapter as they wage an unending war against daemonic threats. The story recounts the intense struggle when a mortally injured daemonhunter successfully banishes a powerful daemon back to the Warp for a millennium, although in the universe of Warhammer 40,000, time is a concept that can be deceiving.

The delay ends as Ghargatuloth resurfaces, ready to wreak havoc once again. However, he faces an unexpected challenge: a meticulously prepared team of Grey Knights who have anticipated his return. Compounded by a perilous prophecy, the knights’ task evolves from simple elimination to a complicated battle against destiny.

Availability and Related Reading

All three novels – Throne Questoris, Cypher: Lord of the Fallen, and Grey Knights – will soon be available for pre-order. In the meantime, readers can delve into the existing lore of Imperial Knights with titles like Kingsblade, Knightsblade, and Knights of the Imperium, all currently accessible through the Black Library app.
