XRP Experiences 3% Surge Following Ripple’s Partnership with C2FO for Trade Finance Modernisation
XRP’s value increased by 3% to $1.33 on Wednesday, as market sentiments turned favorable towards Ripple’s recent alliance with C2FO, a leading global working capital platform. The collaboration aims to enhance trade finance processes using the XRP Ledger.
Market Performance Overview
In the context of a rising market, XRP outperformed the broader cryptocurrency landscape, which saw an overall increase of 2.05% largely influenced by Bitcoin’s own 2.11% gain. The rally suggests a general uptick in market activity, where XRP is currently attempting to overcome resistance at the 50% Fibonacci retracement level set at $1.34. Notably, trading volume surged by 7% over the last 24 hours, hinting at bullish market interest.
Current Trading Dynamics
The Altcoin Season Index rose to 57, indicating a shift toward altcoin investments, which may be favorable for XRP. However, for a breakout from the $1.34 resistance to be confirmed, sustained buying pressure is essential. A decisive closing above this level on a four-hour chart would signal a potential upward movement.
Factors influencing this situation include the ongoing Swell conference, running until October 29, although historical responses to Ripple announcements have not always translated into market movements. If the price recaptures $1.34, an upward trend towards the 200-day Simple Moving Average (SMA) around $1.40 could be seen.
Conversely, if XRP falls below the recent established support at $1.26, it may lead to further declines towards $1.20, drawing on a neutral-to-bullish trend that requires overcoming selling pressure.
Highlights of Ripple and C2FO’s Collaboration
Ripple and C2FO introduced the C2FO Instant Pay solution™, which aims to integrate financing and settlement processes onto the XRP Ledger, facilitating faster payments for businesses within global supply chains. Typically, companies can wait up to 90 days for payments after delivering goods or services, thus impacting their liquidity for operations such as payroll or inventory management.
C2FO’s existing Early Pay™ programs, including Dynamic Discounting™ and Dynamic Supply Chain Finance™, have successfully provided access to over $520 billion in working capital by expediting approved invoice payments.
The C2FO Instant Pay™ solution seeks to address traditional payment delays by allowing businesses to receive immediate payments via the XRP Ledger and RLUSD, Ripple’s stablecoin pegged to the U.S. dollar.
Through this program, businesses will experience instantaneous payment processing while maintaining the terms of their invoices. Immediate payments are funded by capital providers, settling on the XRP Ledger in mere seconds rather than days, ensuring a smooth transactional experience.
Benefits of XRP Ledger and RLUSD
Designed specifically for institutional usage, RLUSD now boasts a market capitalization exceeding $2.5 billion, with over $1 billion in issuance on the XRP Ledger. This blockchain technology enables efficient transaction settlements within 3 to 5 seconds at minimal costs, available around the clock.
Ragui Selwanes, President & COO Americas at C2FO, remarked, “We’ve spent years building a platform that gives businesses more information and control over their working capital. The next opportunity is to make the financial infrastructure behind our marketplace as efficient and connected as the experience we’ve created for customers.”
Markus Infanger, SVP of RippleX at Ripple, added, “Working capital is a powerful example of where blockchain can make an existing financial market work better. C2FO brings an established marketplace, real commercial activity, and demonstrated financing demand. XRPL is well suited to this use case because it can represent and move financial assets with fast, deterministic settlement and low transaction costs, while RLUSD provides a stable way to settle those transactions.”
